From Curiosity to Global Citizenship

IB is a globally recognized curriculum adapted by thousands of schools across the world. It shares similar values as our school which are to develop caring, young people who want to create a more peaceful world. We aim to encourage students to realize their potential and apply it in the service of humanity.

Alam Kidz school is currently a candidate for the IB Primary Years Programme which is an  inquiry-based curriculum for ages 3–12. It goes beyond academics—developing knowledgeable, caring, and curious young people with critical thinking and real-life problem-solving skills.

The PYP shapes students into lifelong learners by nurturing the attributes of the learner profile. They become reflective, thinking about their learning and growth; principled, acting with integrity and fairness; and balanced, valuing both academics and well-being. As communicators, they express ideas confidently while listening to others, and as risk-takers, they approach challenges with courage and resilience. Above all, they remain open-minded, respecting different perspectives and cultures—qualities that prepare them to thrive as compassionate and responsible members of a global community.

With student agency at its heart, every learner has voice, choice, and ownership. Their questions drive learning, supported by concepts and ATL skills.

Learning happens through six transdisciplinary themes: Who We Are, Where We Are in Place and Time, How We Express Ourselves, How the World Works, How We Organize Ourselves, and Sharing the Planet. These themes connect all subject areas and help solve real-world issues.

Students can show their understanding in many ways including arts, writing, performance, digital media—and co-design their learning with teachers and peers.

In the IB PYP, students don’t just learn—they become superheroes in the making

Alam Kidz School is a Candidate School* for the Primary Years Programme. This school is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. These are schools that share a common philosophy—a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education that Alam Kidz believes is important for our students.
