Role Description
The Upper School comprises the Middle and High School Learning Neighborhoods within the broader Green School Bali community. With approximately 250 children across grades 6 to 12, our teaching teams deliver learning programs that are purposeful, inspiring, and engaging. We seek a passionate Upper School Music Educator to engage our students in creative, purposeful, and holistic learning experiences. Working in collaboration with the dynamic Middle and High School teams, the Upper School Music Educator caters for diverse student learning styles and needs by applying a wide range of teaching techniques – including integrated/thematic-based, sustainability-based, and project-based learning experiences.
Arts Integration Coordinator
The Coordinator will support the whole school, working across age groups to unite students and teachers in accomplishing their sustainability arts curricular goals. For example, in Primary School, In grades Kindergarten through grade 5, all activities should be aimed at nurturing a deep appreciation for expression through Art and for the Earth. They should use as many natural resources as possible, using natural items. Middle School: In grades 6-8, we now begin to consider teaching “Global Awareness” and touch on how our global relationships and actions have on the Earth. At this level, deep Arts integration into the subject matter is crucial so students get a chance to understand some of these big ideas and issues by coming at it from all angles. High School: In grades 9-12, students are now ready to formulate their big questions, and they should, by now, have some tools to find their answers. This is the evolutionary stage and the time when art proficiency is essential. Students should have the possibility to hone and refine their craft.
